International Students at Seijo University
There are two categories of international students studying at Seijo University:
- International students enrolled in a degree program who passed the same entrance examination as Japanese students.
- Exchange students from partner institutions who study at Seijo for one academic year
(two semesters).
Exchange Student Eligibility
Seijo University only accepts exchange students from our overseas partner institutes. Inquire with your institute’s international office for details of the exchange student program and your eligibility.
Visa
You must obtain your student visa at your local Japanese consulate. Your visa qualifies you to stay in Japan for the period of your studies at Seijo. If you temporarily leave Japan during your stay, you need to go to the immigration office to get your re-entry permit before you leave.
Location
Boasting an excellent educational environment, the campus is located in a quiet, up-scale residential area of Tokyo. See Access Map and Campus Map.
Housing
Seijo does not provide on-campus residence halls. Exchange students will be offered accommodations outside campus.
Meals
The Seijo offered accommodations are equipped with a kitchenettes.
The university cafeteria is open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM (Weekdays), and from 9:00AM to 3:00PM (Saturdays).
One meal at the cafeteria costs around ¥300 - ¥500.
Extracurricular Activities
Seijo has a wide variety of student activities that you are welcome to participate in. These activities are an excellent opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and meet Japanese students.
Health
There is Student Health Clinic on campus that you can visit anytime. In addition, counselors are always available at the Student Counseling Office to listen to any concerns you may have..
