The Graduate School of Literature has six courses, which correspond to, and are based upon, the six departments in the Faculty of Arts and Literature. As you can see on the Faculty Member Page, each course has prominent and ingenious scholars. Students of the School study and conduct research under the supervision of teaching staff, but they can also obtain qualifications such as high-school teaching certificates or certificates for curatorship. Recently more students complete their PhD courses and submit their dissertations, and many of them go on to work for universities or research institutes as active researchers. The School prides itself on a collaborative atmosphere: teaching staff and graduate students conduct research together, on equal terms; externally the School has drawn up an agreement with Seikei and Musashi Universities on credit-transfer, and forged close ties with them. |
