Faculty of Economics
The Faculty of Economics was founded in the same year as Seijo University, and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2000. Our education principle, in line with the founding philosophy of the University, is to encourage the individuality and self-discipline of our students, by retaining small-classes. Through close discourse between teachers and students, we aim to train individuals of practical abilities and deep professional knowledge who appreciate their chosen field of study is derived from human interaction.
Whilst maintaining these traditions, we have continuously updated our curriculum to make the Faculty reflect the changing needs of students. In 2003 the language teaching curriculum was widened to give more choice. Second-year students can now choose from a range of English classes, and first-and-second-year students can learn Chinese in addition to French and German as a second foreign language. Students are also offered a wider range of law-related courses. ( >>more )
